FAQ

Hide vs Archive FAQ

Difference between hiding and archiving photos in Srarna

Can I hide photos in Srarna?

Absolutely! You can keep certain photos and videos private in Srarna using the "Hide" function. To hide an item, open the photo, access the overflow menu, and choose the Hide option (represented by an eye icon).

Hidden items are secluded in the special "Hidden" category within Srarna and are not visible elsewhere in the app. Access to this category requires biometric authentication (FaceID / TouchID) or a passcode.

The Hidden section can be found at the bottom of the albums screen.

Please note that hidden items will still be visible in the "On device" albums in Srarna if they are present in your device's native gallery. Once you delete them from your device, they will no longer appear there.

Currently, the hiding feature is available only on the Srarna mobile app. Items hidden via the mobile app will not be visible in the web and desktop versions of Srarna.

For additional details, refer to features/hide.

Archive

There is also a feature called "Archive". Unlike hidden items, archived items are not shown in your timeline but are still accessible within albums and search results.

Archiving is beneficial when you don't necessarily want to hide photos but prefer to keep them from cluttering your home timeline, such as old screenshots.
